This group has been formed recently
because the existing Classical Music Appreciation Groups are very
popular, but full.
This new group is intended to be of interest to Members who wish to
listen rather than those who play classical music, and who are
interested in its history. The idea is to broaden Members' horizons and
to share thoughts and ideas about various pieces, their composers, and
the people playing the music.
Members will be encouraged to suggest items that they would like to be
considered, and - perhaps - events to be attended if that would be of
interest.
The meetings of about two hours are being held at the home of the
Co-ordinator, once a month, and at mutually agreed dates and times that
suit the membership. There will be tea and biscuits.
