This
group concentrates on POST 50's MODERN music. We meet in
the afternoon on the second Tuesday of the month, in the organiser's home.
We listen
to a diverse range of music chosen by our members. No genre is out of
bounds so if you have a broad taste in music email the link below,
we'll be happy to hear from you and tell you all about our group.

Recent Activities
At
the moment we are selecting a theme for each meeting and asking members
to come up with two or three tracks each that in some way relate to the
theme.
Past
meetings have had various themes including:-
"One Hit Wonders"
The criterion
being that the artist must have only ever had one record in the UK top
40. We managed to fill the two hours with quite a selection of One Hit
Wonders including groups like Pinkertons Assorted Colours, Ashton,
Gardener and Dyke, Zager and Evans plus solo artists like Maria McKee,
Christine Perry, Napoleon XIV. A very varied and enjoyable selection.
"Ladies Only"
Where we filled 2 hours of music by female only bands and groups.
"Geological Features"
Tracks like Mountain's Nantucket Sleighride, Cold Chisel's Bow River and The Killers This River is Wild.
"1960's", "1970's" etc. through to "2010's"
If you have a theme, let us know and we will fill 2 hours with it.
