Geocaching

Geocaching is a treasure hunt for the digital age where people look for hidden ‘caches’, of objects using GPS devices. It can also be described as a series of hide-and-seek games and an exciting outdoor
adventure for the whole family. All you need is a handheld GPS (or suitable mobile phone with the geocaching app) and a sense of fun.

Caches usually consist of a waterproof container (which can vary in size from not much larger than the end of your little finger to large containers) and a logbook to record your visit. Depending on the size of the cache, it might also contain some trinkets such as foreign currency, keychains, or booklets. Although caches can be hidden, they are not buried, and hints are usually given as where to find them
