about the search to discover the owner of a Regency writing desk using
as clues the letters and shop receipts hidden within its secret compartment. | | 4th April 2019 | John Pearson | Blessed are the Cheesemakers | John Pearson spent all his working life in the food industry, primarily with Marks & Spencer.
He is an international cheese judge having travelled throughout Europe
visiting dairies, selecting dairy products for M&S. He also judges
for Which? Magazine. In 2011 he was appointed Cheese Personality of the
Year by the British Cheese Board. His talk will describe some of his
encounters with suppliers and impossible customers. | | 23rd May 2019 | Jill Wigmore-Welsh | Exercise Your Brain to Keep Moving | The talk will be preceded by our AGM, which is normally quite short. Jill
Wigmore-Welsh works as a Movement & Performance Teacher who
specialises in modern pain care. She is a healthcare expert with over
40 years’ experience who has helped people overcome the pain from
severe injuries and rare health problems including CRPS, fibro, IBS,
spinal injury, amputations, multiple fractures and non-union without
resorting to a lot of drugs. She teaches how to self-manage pain to
provide upbeat positive goal-focused rehabilitation and recovery. | |
